This can make open-ended play feel \u201cboring\u201d or insufficiently engaging, making it difficult for children to sit through play activities, especially open-ended play where they aren\u2019t provided with structure and guidance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Less hurry <\/strong>&#8211; Allow more time for play without rushing or hurrying into the next task. Give your child enough time to explore their play items and use their imaginations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Be intentional with toy purchases<\/strong> &#8211; Choose toys that encourage creativity and offer multiple ways to play, rather than a single, predefined use.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Opt for less familiar toys<\/strong> &#8211; Toys that are not tied to a specific story or characters from books or television offer more room for imagination, as they allow your child to create their own play scenarios.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Overall, <strong>these benefits aren&#8217;t just for kids &#8211; they help parents too. <\/strong>When your little one plays independently for longer and can get creative with the toys they have, it makes <strong>life a little less overwhelming <\/strong>and <strong>buys you back some time<\/strong>!
